About Insulation Service LLC

Central Illinois insulation contractor since 1974. Veteran-owned and operated by Ron Fairley. Based in Mattoon. Built on doing the work right.

Veteran-Owned. Family-Operated. 50 Years in the Insulation Business.

Insulation Service LLC was founded in 1974 in Mattoon, Illinois, and is owned and operated by Ron Fairley. Ron is a military veteran who brought the same discipline, accountability, and attention to detail from his service into the insulation trade. Those values are not a marketing line. They show up in how we prepare a jobsite, how we execute the work, and how we treat your property.

For more than half a century, we have been insulating homes, commercial buildings, and agricultural structures across central and east-central Illinois. Our headquarters is still at 706 Dewitt Avenue East in Mattoon, and our crew still lives and works in Coles County.

When we started, fiberglass batts were the only insulation most contractors installed. The industry has changed enormously since then. Spray foam insulation, dense-pack cellulose, crawl space encapsulation systems, blower door testing, and modern air-sealing techniques have transformed what is possible. We have adopted every meaningful advancement in insulation technology over the past five decades, not because it was trendy, but because it made our customers' homes and buildings perform better.

What has not changed is the standard we hold ourselves to. We measure twice, cut precisely, seal every penetration, and verify depth and coverage before we leave. We treat your property the way we would treat our own.

Over 500 residential, commercial, and agricultural insulation projects later, we are still doing the same work in the same region for the same reason: because insulation done right makes a measurable difference in comfort, energy costs, and building durability. And because the people of central Illinois deserve a contractor who does it right.

What Drives Our Work

Honest Recommendations

We will not sell you spray foam when blown-in cellulose is the right answer. We will not insulate your attic without air-sealing it first. And we will tell you if your money is better spent somewhere else on your building. Our job is to give you the best insulation outcome for your budget, not to maximize the invoice.

Quality Over Speed

Insulation installed too fast is insulation installed wrong. Compressed batts, missed air leaks, thin spray foam spots, and skipped penetrations are what happen when crews are paid by volume. Our crews are trained to do the work correctly, and we inspect every project before we call it complete.

Accountability

We have been in Mattoon for 50 years. Our name is on every truck, every estimate, and every project. When something needs to be addressed, we do not hide behind a franchise office or a subcontractor. We come back, we fix it, and we make it right.
